A New Year, A Fresh Commitment
Why Start Life in the Word
As we step into a new year, many of us feel the nudge to establish healthier habits, grow spiritually, and prioritize what truly matters. There’s no better way to begin than by committing to daily time in God’s Word. The Bible is more than a collection of ancient texts—it is alive, powerful, and essential for spiritual growth. As 2 Timothy 3:16 reminds us:
Through Scripture, God speaks to us, shapes us, and equips us to live for His glory.
Why Life in the Word?
This year, Life Church is inviting you to join Life in the Word: A Year of Scripture and Growth. This customized, daily Bible reading plan is designed to guide you through key themes of the Bible, including creation and redemption, law and grace, and wisdom for life in Christ.
One of the highlights of this plan is our focus on the book of Romans. Paul’s letter to the Romans offers profound truths about God’s grace and salvation. In Romans 1:16, Paul writes: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” As we journey through Romans together, we’ll deepen our understanding of the gospel and its transformative power in our lives.
Build a Habit That Lasts
Starting a new habit, especially one as meaningful as daily Bible reading, can feel daunting. But this plan is structured to make it manageable, with daily readings designed to take just 20–30 minutes. By dedicating this time each day, you’ll grow closer to God and cultivate a deeper love for His Word.
Reading with others brings an added layer of encouragement and accountability. Consider inviting a friend, family member, or your small group to join you. Together, you’ll experience the joy of discovering God’s truth and sharing how His Word speaks to your life.
Let’s Start Together
The start of a new year is a perfect time to establish a foundation of faith. By committing to Life in the Word, you’re choosing to prioritize God’s Word and let it shape your heart, mind, and actions.
